Little messengers of felicity
Heidemarie Brosien was born a daughter of artistic parents in 1954 in Kiel.
From her early childhood she enjoyed it to „embellish the wallpaper“ with her
drawings.
After school she specialised in visual merchandising and learned how to paint
at a correspondence course from the Famous Artist School in Sweden. Her father,
a painter and calligrapher, also taught her new skills.
1990 she first exhibited her work, at her husband Günter Schmidt‘s gallery in
Munster amongst other galleries. Her images were popular among the visitors and
art prints were in demand.
The success story of her little angel images begins in the summer of 2003.
The cute drawings with inspiring or funny sayings are sold on mounted art
prints. They have also been licensed for calendars so far.
Today Heidemarie Brosien lives in Schleswig-Holstein near the beautiful
northern coast of Germany, the place of her childhood.
A quote from Pablo Picasso expresses what art means to her: „art washes away
from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
