Born 1948 in Magdeburg the artist was already during his childhood interested in observing and drawing of pets and animals. Since 1979 he has been a freelance artist. At first he worked as an illustrator, drawing animal illustrations detailed from nature. At the same time he developed his own style adding the naturalistic elements and detailed drawing from the illustrator side to his own humoristic elements. No artist captures the liveliness and playfullness of kittens, puppies and „their friends“ with more verve and wit like him. Due to the charm and the emotional appeal of his images is the success of his designs on tableware and decorative products of leading companies.
